Cycling can be expensive.
For some families, the equipment is unaffordable. Plenty of kids who would love to have a go at racing will never get the chance, because of the costs.
Plenty of us who have been riding for a while have good jerseys, shorts, and other gear at home that we don’t use anymore.
If you have any kit that you think a young rider could use, please send Keir Plaice an email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
He is gathering it to give to young riders who are hoping to get into the sport.
And kids, if you’re the right age to race as a nieuweling, junior, or belofte and could use some clothing or gear to get started that you really can’t afford, don’t worry. Send Keir a message or drop by Fixed Gear Coffee in Valkenburg and they will try and get you sorted.
We will ask you about your cycling dream.
We don’t want the next Tom Dumoulin or Mathieu van der Poel to become a footballer.
Help get kids into cycling.
Do you have a jersey, helmet, saddle, or set of wheels that you do not use? Send us a note. Together, we can help get a talented young rider out on the road.
Dare to Ask
If you are the right age to race as a nieuweling, junior, or belofte and could use some clothing or gear to get started that you really can’t afford, don’t worry. Tell us a bit about yourself and your cycling ambitions and we will do our best to help you out.
Make a Donation
Have you already cleaned out your cycling drawers? Not to worry. You could also help by making a financial contribution, so we can get young talents from all over the country on their way to their cycling dreams.
